Artist-Printmaker, Jill Levene's creations bear the fruits of a life lived creatively.

Jill grew up always knowing that she would be an artist. It was that conviction which guided her through grade school, high school, and college, where she majored in graphic design; all the while investing every spare moment in summer schools and art camps, exhibits, shows, and museums along the way.

Her focused ambition rewarded her with a successful career as a free-lance illustrator, senior graphic designer, and marketing coordinator, which allowed her to raise and support a family through her creative talents.

From her world travels visiting such pinnacles of art as the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, Louvre in Paris, Národní Galerie in Praha, Albertina in Vienna, Nasjonalmuseet in Oslo, and more, she has evolved her uniquely distinctive “Inklings”— pen and ink renderings of animals and natural settings.

Jill's not so recent discovery of New England’s remarkable Folly Cove Fabric Designers of the mid-20th Century pointed her in a new direction—that of block carving and printing on fabric, with the goal of creating usable art that is both functional and practical as well as beautiful and one-of-a-kind for the culinarian and collector alike. Now gainfully retired from commercial graphic design, Ms. Levene’s Middle Sister Made creations are bearing the full fruits of a life lived creatively.
